The Itech Panchajanya Rapid Chess Tournament conducted on 7th February was a closely fought event. Saidarshan won the Tournament with 7 wins (including the tie break game) & a Draw. A total of 39 players participated in the event which was a Swiss League of 7 rounds. At the end of 7 rounds both Aman and Saidarshan of Itech Chess Academy tied with 6.5 points, having drawn with each other. In the tie-break blitz game, Aman overlooked an illegal move and lost. Akash of Panchajanya Chess Tournament stood 3rd with 6 points.
